I know I’ve been focused a little on Christmas cards lately, but this week I will be finalizing my digital cards in my My Digital Studio class and I’m ready to get my focus back on Thanksgiving!
I grabbed these Fall Pocket Cards last week during digital days. It came out in the new MDS downloads in October, but I must have missed it somehow!
I am really digging the new divided scrapbook look and I think I’m going to try one for my annual album for 2013. These cards are great to print out and use for notes for the kids too. All of a sudden, mine are asking for lunch box notes and these are sure cuter than a yellow post-it note, don’t you think? I’m also leaning towards using that super retro “Thankful” as part of my Thanksgiving placecards
The other great idea I had for Thanksgiving was to update our family recipe book. A few years ago, I had everyone give me their special recipes. You know the ones that you have at every holiday and family gathering? The candied sweet potatoes, the chocolate mousse pie, and the best deviled eggs! I put all of these recipes into a small binder for everyone as a Christmas gift. This year, I think I’m going to use the Most Loved Seasonal Recipes Easel Template (#135716) and have the recipe books printed and bound by Stampin’ Up! Especially since there’s that awesome 30% off digital sale going on.
This book might also be a great way for me to collect all my favorite Thanksgiving recipes and have them bound all together in one place. Instead of floating all around my house on little scraps of paper and bits of torn out magazines!
What do you plan on using these two new awesome downloads for?
